I enjoyed reading Jager's article on cloud computing, I am an avid user of cloud computing and storage applications like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Microsoft Skydrive and while I intuitively know that my data is not actually stored in the clouds, the Jager article was a stark reminder to me that, on a daily basis, I hand over my precious data to businesses to use for their own personal good. Moreover, this data is not as protected or safe as I assume it to be. On many occasions, I have been asked to explain where the data or files are stored and I simply say, "in the cloud". However, this article made clear to me that it was far from being that simple. Everything has a location. Even the internet.
